A few minutes and only 2.2kms after leaving our premises you’ll be climbing up and out of the city on the mountain-type road, La Arrabasada. After reaching round 500 meters a.s.l. we’ll stop for some aerial views of the city and some great photo opportunities, then we’ll head off through the park leaving the city behind for a while.

We turn off the main road towards the iconic basilica de Tibidabo and Torre de Collserola and which we pass to the right. As we head along the side of La Sierra de Collserola we have excellent views of Barcelona to the left and then pass through the village of Vallvidrera. This village, first mentioned in writings from the XIV century has some iconic, modernist buildings, and some modern celebrity homes too.

A short descent brings us to another scenic look-out, La Mirador de Sarriá. From here you can see the city from a very different angle and really get an idea of the layout of Barcelona.

Then its coffee time. We’ll head down through the Vallvidrera Valley and stop at the headquarters of the park management. There you will find Café El Picot, some great coffee and a range of pastries and snacks which are included in the price of the tour. Whether relaxing on the terrace, or in the café itself, if the weather is not so good, you can enjoy a break surrounded by the nature of Catalunya.

After ample time to enjoy the coffee-break we’ll head off again deeper into the natural park towards the village of Les Planes. We follow the park roads to the North West and join La Arrabassada again for the journey back to the city. On this part of the tour there are some excellent views of Barcelona extending out before us as we gradually work our way back down to city level and return to our premises to end the tour.

Five stars. After visiting Park Guel we found this tour shop on the way to the metro. What a great surprise, we went in a convoy with a guide, Marvyn who was very informative, funny and helpful. We never knew Barcelona includes a huge natural park with magnificent views over the city and a cafe tucked away in the bush. We had almost 3 hours of a really good activitry, something very different to what we expected in Barcelona.

A really worth it experience, thanks Tourisimo Tours Barcelona.
